How to remove silicone spray?

DH was doing a DIY project outside. He then walked into the house and thinks he must have stepped in some of the silicone spray he was using.

The kitchen and hall floor now feel a bit odd - sort of a bit squeaky IYSWIM!

DH has tried to clean the floor with normal multipurpose cleaner, floor wipes, and also a degreaser spray. The floor is a bit better, but still not back to normal.

Anyone got any ideas what to use to remove it - bearing in mind I'm worried its spread over quite a wide area (2 medium-size floors)?

TIA!

Maybe you've found the answer already?

If not, how about buying that silicone remover paint - the stuff you use when you want to replace the silicone sealant round your tiles/worktops in bathrooms and kitchens.
