I have to tell you all - I am in love again - with my NEW Henry. I love Henry soooooooooooooooo much.
Don't know if you read my previous thread about horrid dumpy dyson, but I just couldn't go on any longer heaving Dyson around, watching him blow crubs every where, not reaching all my little nooks and cranies and basically, just getting on my bloody nerves.
I'd rather get down on my knees and suck!
Anyone out there loving their Dyson? Can't imagine there is! Would love to hear.
But I love my Henry, my brand spanking new Henry.
I'm just so excited.
I know - Yes - I am a saddo.
But I don't care
Even think henry has a really big grin right now too

I agree about Dyson being no good, but I'm interested to know why people like Henry so much. I was convinced by the positive reviews everywhere and bought one, and I was really quite disappointed.

It's really very rubbish on carpets. It does have a kind of brute suction but it doesn't lift the fibres at all, I don't have pets but even so I ended up getting the Airobrush but even that didn't make much difference. So now I use the Henry downstairs on the wood/tiles only, and it's fine, quite nice to use but not amazing.

I now have a Miele Cat and Dog cylinder for the carpets and stairs. Which is about three or four times as good as the Henry. Tellingly, I vacuumed the carpets after doing them with the Henry and the Miele bag collected masses of dust and fibres that the Henry wasn't able to. It was shocking.

i hated my henry. i eventually gave in and bought a dyson. the day i got the dyson i gave the sitting room a good vacuum with the henry......then i went over it again with the dyson. i was amazed at the amount of dirt the dyson got out of the just henry-ed carpet.

i too orignally bought the henry because i had heard people rave about how wonderful they are. i was very disappointed. still love my dyson, think it's about 6 years old and i've never had a problem with it.

How could anyone hate Henry.
My Dyson was useless.
After hoovering with it, it would leave a million crumbs around the edge of the room, around my living room rug and didn't pick up anything bigger than a bread crumb. Anything bigger would be blown in front, and left! Even my desk hoover collects more than the dreaded Dyson.
My house hasn't looked cleaner than when I used my lovely Numatic Henry - think its even better than the old one I had.
I suppose if all your rooms are a perfect square/rectangle ,with no rugs, no nooks and crannies, then the Dyson may be ok. . .
