best way to clean tefal easy glide iron

any ideas?
despite being made of easy glide non stick type stuff the front of my tefal iron looks very burnt.

i want to get it clean but dont want to damage the surface...

any ideas please?

ooh,will be watching this,i too have one of these which i LOVE
oh managed to melt it onto something!its quite black underneath at the front and im scared to scrub it incase it ruins it!still works fine though!

Get yourselves down to lakeland and buy a tube of 'hot iron cleaner' it works a treat.

have bought the same stuff of ebay for £4.84 (inc P&P) instead of £5.29 from lakeland, and have saved myself a trip into town.

will report back on how it works when i get it

Here is my report back

i just wanted to say that that hot iron cleaner worked like magic. it is AMAZING

i was shocke, almost no effort at all and in a few wipes and couple of minutes it had all gone

highly recommended!

my mum swears by a bar of soap and I agree - just ordinary bath stuff. rub over the hot iron and iron a cloth to get rid. Has always worked for me (and would save nannyl a lot of money!)
