Sheets and blankets

DH and I have decided that we are going to bin the duvet and move to sheets and blankets as we both much prefer them (we both get very hot under even a light duvet).

I had a quick shufty on the internet but came up with only baby blankets. Can anyone recommend where I can buy some nice quality, king sized blankets that won't break the bank - either in "real life" or online

My favorite blankets are made by 'biederlack' they're a German company I think; I got mine from TKMaxx.

They're a sort of cotton acrylic bland fleece, nicely weighty and very soft. They wash up lovely too.

If you get too hot you might prefer cotton cellular blankets(the holey ones). I would avoid 100% polyester fleece as they tend to slide around too much.

Either way I would recommend TKMaxx My 11 ds tells me you can now buy online too.

Thanks schroeder, I wasn't sure if I would even get any replies as S&Bs are so out of fashion now !

You are welcome. But I should say I've just had a look on TKMax's website and they didn't have very much.

There is a website called www.kingofcotton.co.uk which has a good range and reasonable prices.

There are some lovely blankets here. Haven't checked the sizes though.
