Grey gunge in washing machine

Help

It looks like the filter has backed up into the machine. I have run wash cycles for 3 days now, scooped and wiped out but there are still bits and a grey and powdery residue.

Is there any way to get rid of this?

have you tried doing a wash with no clothes in on the hottest temperature setting with an extra rinse?

that might help clean it up a bit

Is the filter completely clean and also the out let pipe?
As bumbybecky said wash empty hottest wash with vinegar hopefully that will work
