tarnished stainless steel hob

hi all

please help. a little while ago after my stainless steel hob was cleaned and after drying it looked tarnished - sort of like big water marks all over it.

how do i get it to be all shiny and clear again?

I use barkeepers friend- or at least I would if I wasn't such a slattern, but we've got some in the cupboard that comes out when I want it to look nice
