Maidstone Borough council housing...

Has anyone had any RECENT dealings with MBC housing? On the estate we live on, my family has been subject to prolific racial abuse. I approached MBC for help and was told to make a threat of homelessness application (my children have been attacked several times). They are very insistent I take on temporary accommodation which I am reluctant to as it will cause major upheaval for my family and I. The policy allocation has recently changed this week and you can no longer bid whilst in temporary accommodation but rather can be discharged into private rented accommodation. This option is awful as I would lose my social housing rights (right to aquire, secure tenancy).
Has anyone been under them in temporary accommodation recently? What was your experience? Did they offer social housing? Please share experiences good and bad.

Also, don’t know if Maidstone Day Centre are able to offer any advice. They help with homelessness.
