Has anybody brought their home through Right to Aquire?
I am currently saving a deposit to by my first house. We have a ground floor maisonette that we love. I have a reasonable income that I have worked hard to get but house prices are extortionate in my area. Due to being a loan parent I can’t move away from family as they support with childcare.
When looking at flats we can’t find anything we like or that is in anyway the same or better than what we have.
I would love to buy the place I am in but the whole process seems very strange. I have to apply before I am told if my house applys. I also won’t be told the selling price. I think it may be around £165 000 as that’s what a similar property is selling for across the road.
Lastly, although we love our place we are surrounded by drug users (weed smokers in 5 neighbouring property’s) and I am worried if I ever had to sell that I might struggle because of this.
Anybody successfully brought through this?
