Had enough of our living situation…

Living in a high rise, most neighbors on floor are substance users… Always hassle going on with them… One having a dog that has tried to attack two people recently- this neighbour also often leaves their door open… dogs always barking when waiting on the lift… Main door always getting smashed.. Does not feel safe… Feel at risk every time we enter and leave our home, child is scared…

Child also has suspected ADHD… Been on Camhs list forever…

Their friends are beginning to develop independence such as going out to play alone, going to shop, walking to school… I want to start working on this type of independence but it’s not safe to do where we are living… And their abilities would put them at further risk…

I also feel that child would be much more calmer, life would be easier if they had outdoor space to play…

child also due to start high school next year… no childcare for after school then… Not yet capable of walking home/being home alone because we can’t work on it… And when it comes to it being here it won’t be safe for them to be coming home alone… How will I work…

As a person who grew up with substance using parents and experienced a lot of trauma due to this I find it hard living amongst this also. Are situation is really affecting my mental health and my child’s development…

but housing providers say no need for housing… private rents on average £1.5k per month… Not affordable… Feel stuck…
