Dd1 is in year 5 and her teacher has suggested that she practice her creative writing outside school. I remember a list of elements with good examples of language elements (conjunctions, alliteration, similes etc) to include in writing that was above my desk when I was at school. I was wondering if anyone can tell me where to find something similar online as I have looked and cannot. Dd is a great reader, she just needs to enrich her writing (longer sentences, more varied vocabulary etc). Her teacher seems to think this will resolve itself with practice .... But I'd like to give her a bit of a boost over Christmas if possible.
