Favourite websites for middle school age children?

Hi there. My dc is 11 and I am looking for good interactive maths, music, science etc sites, and thought I'd ask you all if you have found any good ones to share!

BBC schools website is very good
Try activity village for loads of ideas and links to other sites

Education city is good but after a two week trial you have to pay .

I think I phrased this OP wrongly. By 'middle school' I mean post primary and pre GCSE syllabus..!

Agree BBC site is good, as is S-Cool.

Just a headsup for anyone reading this thread. Activity village takes you to MATHSWHIZZ which is a very very good maths tuition site for up to age 13. Not free though!

Justr found out about a new maths site called "mangahigh" - so far looks promising, for older children who are into computer games.
