Hi just wandered if you had all seen this. It is outrageous in my opinion. I do not know how this man has not lost his job yet. He is so very unproffesional. I am referring mainly to the point he makes in section 3 on the link.

I am absolutely flabbergasted!

(Here's a link to Dr Rothermel's research in case anyone needs it)

Oh yes have seen it and read all of the submissions so far published
Including the one from
Prof. James C Conroy, Dean: Faculty of Education, University of Glasgow-someone who was invited to be part of Badman's Expert reference group

"In my 30 odd years of professional life in education I have rarely encountered a process, the entirety of which was so slap dash, panic driven, and nakedly and naively populist."

MamanCochon · 06/11/2009 00:02

That is absolutely outrageous. Besides, doesn't he realise that Munchausens by Proxy has largely been discredited?

lolapoppins · 06/11/2009 11:18

"His opening question was to ask me if home educating mothers suffered from Munchhausen's by Proxy. I thought this to be a curious starting point - that of questioning whether home education is a symptom of mental illness"

Wowsers. How is home ed comparable to MBP in any way, shape or form? How on earth would that comparison have slipped into his head, or am I totally missing something, does he know what MBP actually is?

chatterbocs · 07/11/2009 00:21

How is this guy getting away with this kind of slander? Surely this is classed as discrimination against home edders?

FlamingoBingo · 07/11/2009 08:57

It's horrifically shocking that he is coming at this whole thing with such apalling prejudices

onefunkymama · 07/11/2009 16:37

Yes, he is indeed a Bad Man and he's hold Mr Education B*lls Up by the hand
