Anyone home educating little ones in Newcastle (u-T)?

I have been in contact with some lovely home-ed folk in newcastle but have not yet met many people with little ones (4-5 ish). Anyone else out there?

There are some young siblings of that age around Tyne and Wear, Durham and Northumberland areas. Have you been to any local meetups yet? Are you on the contact lists?

I am on two lists, one Tyne and Wear and the other Newcastle I think. I went to the local picnic recently but most of the people we met had kids that were a bit older. I know about 'play and rhyme' at the Rainbow centre but I've not managed to get through to Durham yet. I was hoping that there might be some folk closer to home. Thanks, Lis x

Was that the Not Back To School picnic in Newcastle? We were there too so probably met. Mine is nearly 11 and would have been mucking around with the older kids.

I've found that you do have to travel around the region to take advantage of what's available. There does seem to be more stuff for little ones in Durham so that might be the best route. The Rainbow Centre is very central in Durham and easy to get to so worth a try.

It was the not back to school picnic outside the civic centre. We were a bit late so didn't get a chance to speak to many folk. I'll have get through to the rainbow centre!! Thanks.
