I didn't watch it here, how was it?

The older sister is the boy's guardian.

The older sister hears the brother explain about the concept of home schooling. He is being bullied at school. She counters his comments by using familiar arguments against home ed and pro school.

Unexpectedly the older sister gets involved in breaking up the bully's attack on her brother. All three are seen being patronised by a teacher in an office. Out of the blue the sister finds herself announcing that her brother will not be coming back to that school again, he will be home schooled, she will be the teacher and will bring in any help which is needed.

The most realistic bit was at the end, as they are walking home, where the brother hears the sister backtrack on what she has said. She says that she will find another school for him, she can't face the idea of actually home educating him. (I have had similar shameful conversations.)

The story line will run on for a while. Why not try watching Coronation Street to find out?

How's that for a brief summing up?

There was no mention of writing a deregistration letter though. I can't wait til the next episode. Cliff hanger!

The sister - Fizz - is going to visit her ex-boyfriend in jail (he was an English teacher) to get support. I suspect the home-ed thing is more of a ploy to bring him back into the storyline.

nappyelite · 04/04/2009 22:35

I guess it's hard to portray a subject where there are many ways to do it whereas school is school in the main? Why is the ex in jail? Sad to say I haven't watched C in ages

Im afraid wild horses couldn't drag me to the tv to watch that dreadful programme.

£1,000,0000?....hmmm... maybe I could be persuaded
