Not receiving any Royal Mail after moving house, any ideas why?

I have moved house about 3 weeks ago now. And we are not receiving any mail. My mum sent a card in the post to the new address 2 weeks ago. I have ordered a new drivers license and my partner a new credit card to the new address. I have also sent myself a test letter and nothing. We redirected mail from our old address too and not recieved any. Its a 1970’s house so its well estbilished not like its a new build. We also are not getting old owners mail just nothing.

amazon and evri we do get the parcels all fine. Just not royal mail

any ideas whats going on?

Previous owners set up a redirect to a local post office/to their address and you’ve been caught up in it?

I’ve started getting all my post about once a month. I get a monthly pile.

You have to specify names on the redirection

I know, but mistakes happen. (Is it still a manual process?)

Are you sure the mail isn’t still going to your old address?
We moved last September and I set up redirection for three months but it failed on occasions due to human error when sorting.

Yes definitely not going to the old address as the new address was put on the card, test letter to myself and credit card for sure.

also in contact with the people who brought ours and they confirmed nothing received either

With my first house the vendors had the same surname as me and they set up a redirect. Caused a lot of confusion.

Probably not the case here but something like that seems the most plausible explanation of they are getting their Amazon parcels.

I'd contact the PO and check with them.

Depends where you are, but I only get mail delivered monthly now.

Delivered monthly! Wow that seems like a long wait.
defo sounds like I need to contact PO they are just impossible to get hold of

That's crazy. There will be stuff that you need to respond to within 28 days.
