Apologies if this has been answered multiple times already. New to HE. DD going into Year 6. Got the core stuff covered, but too chicken and too overwhelmed to commit to online French and IT courses without a recommendation or two. Any pointers very gratefully received.

Thanks! Bit short on £££ so am using Duo Lingo for this term and have lined up my friend's daughter to do some ICT sessions. But thanks.

Duolingo is great for vocab revision but it won't teach grammar, writing or oral skills.
Many years ago I taught myself French at home (alongside school) from the Tricolour textbooks, which were painfully dry but combined with a speaking tutor near exam time did get me an A at GCSE. I would suggest getting at least one textbook to actually explain the masc/fem endings and verb tenses etc up front so that the Duolingo examples can then act as revision.
Also, watch TV with French subtitles on! Play LW radio in the background when doing other things so you get use to the rhythm of spoken French.

Thanks so much! I did Tricolour myself and remember everyone always seemed to be holidaying in La Rochelle. Some great suggestions - much appreciated.
