GCSE Maths and A-Level English_Best board to sit exams??

Hi,
I want to self-study GCSE Maths and GCSE+A-Level in English Language ONLINE (private candidate)
I was wondering what is the best board to sit both subjects?

I've heard OCR is reputed to be harder for Maths than AQA or Edexcel and that for GCSE AQA is by far the easiest for sciences and maths, and Edexcel for A level.
Is this true?

And what about A-Level English Language? Which is the best board?

Kind regards,

Alevel English has coursework so you need to work out how to arrange that. I have heard of people using NEC who have been able to mark the coursework and then transfer the candidate to a local centre to sit the exams.
Maths you need to find an exam centre first, then see what exam boards you can sit there and then look at the different specifications/past exam papers and decide. People will have different perceptions on what makes something 'easier'.
Bare in mind that exam centres are currently dealing with this year's chaos so replies may be slow.

Hi thanks for your reply and pinpointing how to deal with NEC for A-Level.
When I say hard/easy I mean how clear/helpful the materials/books provided for each exam board are.
I also mean the level of difficulty of the papers of each exam board.
