Forums for temporary "home ed" due to coronavirus

A number of posts have been made on home education forums from people whose children usually attend school, hoping to find some information about educating kids at home, lists of resources etc. In some ways, the situation which school-using parents have been thrown into does resemble that of parents who have chosen to home educate instead of having them on roll at school. In other ways it is quite different.

Recognising the fact that the community of home educating families does have some experience which may be helpful to others in this crisis, home ed parents have been discussing what we can do to help. Some dedicated forums have sprung up for this purpose. Experienced home educators can be found on them alongside parents whose kids are temporarily off school.

Here's one such Facebook group which I've joined. It was launched by Mike Wood, who's very well respected in our community - and is in my opinion one of the kindest and most supportive people you could wish to know. He runs the long-established home ed organisation "Home Education UK": www.facebook.com/groups/HEUKSchoolClosureSupportForum

Perhaps other people would like to post on this thread with links to any other such forums they have found?

(I hasten to add that this isn't because we don't want you guys here!! We are happy to answer questions where we can. But the new dedicated forums could have information which is more relevant to you, as well as mutual support from families who are in the same boat.)
