Hi,
Has anyone here tried life of Fred books? What do you think about it?
I am looking to buy life of Fred books. And the only place I can find them are at conquest books. Is there anywhere else I can buy them from? 15£ for a book seems like a lot.

It depends on your child. It is very wordy and so kids who just want to get on with doing the maths can get a bit impatient (mine did) but it is a cute story. We did almost all of the primary books but found online maths programmes to be better (Math Seeds by Reading Eggs, Conquer Maths). If I remember correctly, it is more like a supplement than a standalone maths course as it doesn't cover everything in the depth needed. Personally it wasn't worth the money for us but it was OK at the time.

We really liked them for me they were perfect for before my kids learned to read - I would read to them & they would do the questions (often in chalk outside!). They are really well bound & you don’t write in them so pass on well.
My kids do like to pick them up & read them even now.
Having said that we found Monsters Academy & havent looked back Grin
