Hi is anyone home Educating in dartford Kent area? My son is in year 5 and since moving to this area and new school his behaviour has deteriorated massively. He has asd and also being assessed for adhd. He's extremely anxious and there are now daily issues at school and it's having a knock on effect at home too. Today he has managed to escape the school and run all the way home with no jumper, coat or bag etc - thankfully I was at home. He was hysterical and terrified after being locked in a room and then escaping so I don't think we can send him back.
I have been considering home Ed (at least until secondary) for a while now but am worried about the social side of it. I also have a 7year old who also hates the school and has become very anxious since starting, and a toddler so I'm wondering how logistically I could make it work? I also can't seem to find much locally, the groups I've discovered are a 45+ minute drive away... surely there are other local parents?? I'm not on Facebook so that probably isn't helping my search!
