Which school year would my 8 year old child be in?

I'm just filling in a form requiring this info. She was 8 in October 2006. We don't follow the national curriculum (and with eventual goal being IGCSE anyway) but we do some NC work and have done year four and five work in the last few months according to our records.

I'm guessing she's in (or would be if in school) year 3 or 4 currently? Is there an online calculator, or details of cut off dates somewhere?

Assuming you mean she was born in October 2006, she would be in Year 3.
