My dd is going to be on tv, Christmas day, Prime time tv, BBC2
She has caught the tv bug and wants to start looking for other things.

I am a very proud mum, but really saying its all thanks to H.ed.
No way could she have attended all the compulsory rehearsals, filming etc if she was in school, we'd never have got her to all the venues.

Is this music related?

Hooray! Shame you can't tell us what it is! I suppose that would out you and dd more importantly. My son is on telly soon too for the BBC - we know the time slot but not which episode yet. It was so much fun and he wants to do more too. But yes the time commitment is massive and we wouldn't have managed without he. Will you cry when she's on- I'm a huge embarrassment that way!

Yes and I'm really excited. She is just so laid back about it all, has been recording for weeks and won't tell me much at all.

I will cry, but not counting my chickens yet, just in case all the shots they filmed happen to miss her completely
I won't watch xmas day, just in case, so will have to record it.
We haven't been able to tell anyone any details but it is common knowledge and being advertised now, does that mean I can say?

He's only done the one slot so we were there when he filmed it rather than loads of filming. He does lots of gigging already but the Tv thing was great and a bit different (being in make up, and all the people involved etc). It should lead to other tv stuff for your dd, I'm sure. I get really nervous too and start pulling mum faces! Luckily we could only watch on the monitor for this. He's going to be on the slammer. They said he could put it on Facebook so should be ok to mention here. Make sure you remind us nearer the time and I'll scour the listings!. I love watching kids take the opportunity- even when I don't know them! (massive softy)!

The cast and director are being interviewed about it on radio quite often and it is on the bbc website, well it was last week, may have changed now.
I think with Christmas they usually do have all their planning done so far ahead. not that I know anything about it at all. I am just the numpty who takes her there.

It is a play written by a comedienne. It stars MB and IS the latter appeared in one of the HP films, I think it was only one.

Oh is she acting then? Wowee! I could never take to the stage myself. I get phone calls from all sorts and never know what they're on about! I'm in awe of anyone who can do it but yes, people tell me it is a bug. I'm sure she'll get more from it as it sounds v impressive. And if not, then nobody can ever take it away.

Oh I see - it is her music (I'm on my phone). Crumbs she's done well. I hope she likes the finished results - it sounds great!

The slammer is great, dd and all her friends watch it and the standard of the acts on there is really good.
Can you let us know when he is on and I can point him out to dd, if that is ok.
I agree it is lovely to hear of other peoples children doing well. I think the industry is good for that. As parents we start off knowing nothing, learn very quickly and are able to offer support or advice to others.
