Not strictly home ed, but many home edders I know are keeping an eye on this and I missed it when it was initially published on September 20th

Oral Evidence Session Work and Pensions Commmittee, with Lord Freud and Iain
Duncan Smith on Universal Credit

Lord Freud: "As the Secretary of State basically made an announcement, we looked
very closely at how often people should have the opportunity to have a year to
build a business without any conditionality. In the original proposition
regulations, that was a onceinalifetime opportunity and we have had a lot of
feedback from people saying that that is not economically sensible. A lot of
people have one attempt that does not work and then they come back, and they
should be supported again. As the Secretary of State said, we are now looking at
running that year so that you can have it every five years, on a fiveyear
basis."

Well I for one have been very worried about this, but Have decided not to anymore.
I wonder if it came down to it and you became unemployed if they could force your dc back into school for you to work.
I know the present law gives parents the right, but hope they don't change this. I would be gutted as I'm sure others would.
Is anybody else worried about uc in general or was it only me?
