No response from school after de reg letter?

Just wondering if anyone got a letter from the school to confirm that their child has been de registered?

I asked for them to confirm in writing the date dd was taken off roll, but have had nothing. De registered her 4 weeks ago.

They don't have to do anything and lots of the time they don't bother.

If this was England and was just for a maintained school ie not special school her name should have been taken off the school register within 2 days of your request and the LA should have been notified at that time as well.

One would imagine the school DID take her name off the roll, else you would have had someone round moaning about her not going in?

You could always ask again for the school to confirm.
