How do you store your bread?

I've just had a new kitchen put in, and I would like to store bread in a new pantry cupboard near the toaster, trying to keep the worktops as uncluttered as possible. We are terribly lazy and if we have a bread bin with a lid I often find the bread just gets stuck on top of the lid. At the start of the week bread, rolls, tortillas etc all get rammed in and you often find a mouldy bit of bread that has been forgotten at the bottom. I was wondering about getting some wire baskets, perhaps like this from Dunelm: https://www.dunelm.com/product/wire-stackable-storage-basket-1000285382?branchCode=0135&defaultSkuId=31034402&colour=Brass#product_reviews
I usually keep the bread wrapped anyway, but will it go stale if it is not in a sealed bread bin?
Thanks!

Bread has two modes in our house - the normal loaf which lives in the freezer, and fresh baked bresd or wraps which lasts no longer than 4 hours as DH is an absolute fiend. That lives in a tokenistic wire basket on the side, wrapped in a cotton tea cloth (which is just for the bread)

We have sliced bread and pittas in the freezer. Wraps and part baked baguette in the cupboard (long shelf life, until you open them). When we buy nice fresh bread it just lives in a cupboard wrapped in brown paper until it’s gone - doesn’t last long.

I’m not sure a bread bin does that much to stop the bread going mouldy. It’ll slow down its drying out but not stop the mould.

Have a large plastic container.

In the freezer until the day of use then in a bread bin.

Depends on the packaging- if bread bag style and you can resell or fold it over, ok

we have lots of hot cross buns, bagels and wraps in the kind of packet you can’t fold over as there is no spare “length”. They go off very quickly if not in a bread bin.

In the freezer then the fridge. I eat sourdough and it lasts longer than when kept in the kitchen.

We have a bread shelf in a cupboard because when DC were at home I couldn’t fit everything in to a bread bin.

Always in the freezer 🤷‍♀️

I buy two farmhouse loaves, a sour dough loaf and 18 rolls each Friday from the bakery. Everything goes in the freezer except the sourdough and we take out what need it.
Whatever is not in the freezer lives in its freezer bag in a drawer with the bread board, the toaster and the butter dish.
Things like fruit loaf, tea cakes and crumpets also go in zip lock bags in the drawer.

In the fridge bec I eat it slowly.

I’ve just bought a large beeswax wrap from a food market to wrap DH’s homemade bread in - he was using any old tea towel before this (puke)
I like the bread drawer idea though - assuming you have one deep enough - one for my fantasy kitchen (but will need DH and DC to have a separate kitchen for that to truly happen)
