Danetti, Dusk or other places for new bed???

I'm finally replacing my horrible old bed frame and want a storage bed with a lovely head board.

I've had my eye on Dusk (all their stuff, not just beds) for a while as they do some gorgeous stuff but never brought anything. Danetti is also on my radar now as both have very nice looking beds that fit what I'm looking for and the price points are spot on but as I've never used either I'm concerned it will be a "too good to be true" situation and I'll regret it. I normally wouldn't buy large furniture items without seeing them but I'm pretty rural so not many stockists nearby and I find the price is significantly higher in highstreet shops.

Anyone used either and have anything to say about if they're any good, or can suggest any other great online suppliers for beds? (Other than Next).

I wouldn't buy a bed online. You need to lie on different beds and try them out for comfort.

We bought the last three beds from Bensons and have been very pleased with the product and the service.

I have used Dusk a number of times for bedding / throws etc .... and I found them very good with great customer service. I received a throw with a flaw running through it, and they sent me a new one and said I could keep the old - which only had the flaw on one side, so still useable.

I used Mattressman for the purchase of my bedframe / mattress, and they were very good and delivered exactly when they were supposed to and took everything upstairs to my bedroom.

I've explained in my OP why I'm buying online.

I also don't require a mattress, just the base.

That's good to hear. Reviews on TrustPilot are a bit mixed for Dusk so good to hear a "first hand" positive experience.

I live near a (the?) Danetti store and it’s high quality and great customer service too, if that helps.

I have bed frame from dusk and some chairs. They are good and when there was issue with one chair, they sorted replacement without any issues. Really happy with them

I had no idea they had a store. I assumed they were just online. That actually gives a little comfort. They're also pretty well rated on Trust Pilot having just looked - apart from the one lady who gave them 1* rating because the delivery company broke down and had to come the next day (and her saying store experience was great). People are weird.

It's good to hear the quality is up there too. I'm getting excited now.

I've had a bed from Danetti, it was decent but it was an ottoman and I didn't feel it was sturdy enough. We have a new ottoman bed from Daals which is very sturdy and looks a lot more expensive than it was.

Yes they have a store in Camberley in the South sort of between Reading/Guildford if you are ever in this direction but I would be confident buying online from them for sure.

I’d avoid dusk i ordered a bed that was showing in stock had a dispatch email and it never arrived. It was a nightmare to get an explanation but when I did I was told it wasn’t actually in stock but it would be delivered in 3 weeks, then 5 weeks i cancelled after it reached 8weeks.
i had strayed from the place i usually order from, esupasaver, ive ordered loads of beds from them over the years and never had any issues. Their ottoman beds are brilliant, great quality, sturdy but easy to assemble and very reasonably priced.

I bought a new bed from Dusk along with a few pieces of bedroom furniture at the beginning of this year. All have been brilliant and I’m happy to recommend them

I got mine from Dreams. You need to try out a new bed/ mattress. I wouldn’t buy one online.

Turns out I was right by the Danetti store quite recently. Really wish I'd known that was there then.

Just to reiterate I do not need a new mattress so I have no need to try mattresses out, and I don't have many furniture stores easily accessible, hence my desire to buy online.

I've had a Dusk ottoman bed for the last 4 years. It's as good as new, very comfortable, no issues at all.

I had an absolute nightmare with Dusk.

My mum uses them all the time with no issue but when I moved house I bought an item that was sold out but due stock the following week.

3 months of them lying their arses off about stock arriving and the beds being dispatched and gone missing (I called the delivery logistics company directly who told me that they had never recieved anything from Dusk for me. Let alone 2 double beds!)

When i confronted Dusk they started on about order malfunctions and all sorts.

I held out so long because I really wanted the beds but my kids had been sleeping on matresses on the floor after moving so eventually cancelled.

I would never buy anything from them again. It was the outright lies that stressed me out so much!

Maybe chance it if they are in stock currently but if its due stock I would avoid!

We got my daughter a bed from Danetti and I love it and prefer it to ours. We got an ottoman and it feels robust enough for her (obviously depends what you store). It was a bugger to self install though- definitely not as easy as the video suggested.
