What’s a good colour for living room and hall if you want to paint it all the same colour? I would’ve gone for a Grey tones but I’m told that they’re finished.!

We’ve got Dulux Timeless throughout our house. It’s not yellow or rich cream at all. It’s fresh and best described as a warm white and goes with all furnishings.
we have panelling in our hall and have Timeless on the walls and Egyptian cotton on the panelling. Love the Egyptian cotton but it’s definitely a colour rather than neutral iyswim!

I spent so long agonising over this exact question, and I was also trying to find something that was warm-but-not-magnolia. In the end I truly had colour fatigue (it’s a thing!) and just went with Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore, which is apparently their most sold/standard white. I’m really happy with it!

If you do want to go further down the rabbit hole, there are websites that will let you compare colours across different paint companies - it throws out a chart showing which is more saturated, warmer/colder, etc. If you google something like “F&B x vs. Benjamin Moore y” it should pop up within the first few search results and you can go from there. They also show similar/related shades.
