Does anyone have an IKEA Alex drawers? Trying to work out if it will fit under desk byremoving legs.

It is 70cm high and will just fit under my daughter's desk but a lip under the desk will prevent the top drawer opening.
I'm thinking that if I remove the feet I might gain enough to allow the drawer to open.
Can anyone tell me how high the feet are?
I'm guessing it's only a couple of cm.

The feet are just little knobs that screw in to the bottom of the unit which is a solid flat piece. Removing them would only give approx 1cm extra space

What about adding some feet or risers to the desk, to raise it up a tiny bit higher and allow the clearance?

Or another option might be to hide cables etc in that top drawer, so it doesn't need to open very often and when you do want to open it to adjust cables you just lift up the desk.
