How would you lay out this room ?

I've a small room 9ft by 7ft approx that I have to use as my main room. I'd put the bed side ways by the window it just fits but looks awful. If I put it against the back wall the door doesn't open properly . I can't rehang the door as it will crash into the other doors . Any brainwaves ? Would really appreciate your help . Xxx

This sounds a bit odd and I don’t know if it would work but you could try and see… you could put the bed in front of the window facing it, so you are right up to the window view. You’ll have the back of the headboard exposed to the room but you could put the chest of drawers against it (facing away from the window) and create a separate dressing area, kind of ‘zoned’ by furniture, with a mirror and maybe a small dresser. You’d have to try it to see if it worked, but despite being unusual if it looked okay actually you’d have a nice peaceful sleeping zone away from the door, and a dressing area. And it’s a nice enough headboard to make a feature of.

Thanks all . Lots of ideas - you're the best

roshi42's suggestion is terrible.

I second @zenae's suggestion, that's what I would do

I'd absolutely move the bed so that it's face the window, but it's hard to tell whether it would be practical this way in other aspects. Have you tried digital planning tools to see what you can move around and how would that look? There is a virtual room planner that might help or you can use an online planner. I think having a layout right before your eyes would make the decision easier.

I would move the radiator to behind the door to have better layout options. Then move the bed so headboard under window drawers and bits back by the door.
