New Neighbour anxiety

I'm an anxious person I accept that and do try and self regulate and calm myself down from over reacting.
I'm not doing very well on this on though, me and my DH live in a ex council 1960s semi - it's pretty sturdy masonry brick and for the whole time we've lived here we had one neighbour. We never heard him apart from the occasional stomp or door bang.
He has moved and the neighbour who bought it is a young mum and her 1 year old daughter. They have been doing extensive renovations to the house so haven't moved in yet and we have had building noise for the past 3 months.
What worries me is that even though it's been awful during the day we still do get quiet evenings when they've gone. When the new neighbour moves in which looks like it will be soon I'm so worried we will never have any peace.
I can get very sensitive about noise and I do understand that living in a semi you should expect a certain amount. However, was wondering if anyone else lives in a similar style house and how they find noise levels through a party wall?

I once lived in a flat below a mum with a toddler and didn’t hear much from them tbh.

It’s difficult to know what to expect because every family is different. But I think there’s a good chance the evenings will be quiet. At this stage my dd went down to sleep ok. She would sometimes wake up in the night but one of us would go settle her shortly afterwards.

In my personal experience young children can be much better to deal with as neighbours than inconsiderate adults. Good luck.

It's impossible to know as so many variables, but I'd expect less noise than with a newborn because the 1yo will likely have a sleep routine by now and a bedtime.

Don’t borrow problems! Wait and see when they move in

I live in a terrace and next door have 3 kids under 10. Only really ever hear them if they’re in the garden playing. All in bed (I assume) and quiet by 8/9. So kids doesn’t mean constant noise.
