Hi guys,
I haven't posted on here before but just wanted to vent/ ask others if they can empathise with me just so I don't feel as alone! haha. Please be kind. For context I do have OCD which I am trying to address but anyway, since owning my first house I have just been completely overwhelmed by everything that needs doing to it. It's a 1930's semi that has been a loved family home but not maintained. We have been here nearly 3 years now and updated the kitchen and bedrooms. I just feel completely overwhelmed by the cost of everything. I completely understand that this is the reality of owning a home. It just feels terrifying and I am constantly thinking about will it sell one day when we need a bigger home and then I get anxious at the thought when we get another house one day it will be even more expensive and I don't think I can stomach more renovations. Then I feel really disappointed when something I've not long payed for gets damaged (again for context I'm probably more overwhelmed than the average person because of my ocd). For instance, anyway, one of our pull out cupboards in the kitchen isn't working properly and keeps getting scratched and I'm going to have to either get on with it or pay for a joiner and not sure if it can be sorted or not. I know these are first world problems, but does anyone else feel overwhelmed by the whole process? I just want to really ground myself and get back to enjoying life abit more but for a long time all I can think about is this house. Thank you for reading.
