Anyone with experience of Blinds2Go?

I am looking at their no-drill, blackout, thermal blinds - just simple, recess-fitted, white blinds are what I'm looking for for a rental property. Don't have to be the cheapest on the market, I'd like them to hold up well and provide proper light and thermal protection. But when you google/search Pinterest for such an item, a bewildering array comes back! Would welcome some experience! thanks so much.

We bought wooden Venetian blinds for our bay windows from them and they’re fab
lots of free samples before we chose

JanetSnakeholeMacklin · 19/08/2024 20:14

We used them to do the blinds in our house. They were great, although a couple of the blinds had a some odd black spots on them, but they replaced them free of charge without hassle. They also had the biggest range so I could get exactly what I wanted.

HidingFromDD · 19/08/2024 20:19

Another vote for them here, has one order for 3 wooden blinds and a later one for 4 white ones. All delivered as ordered and good quality. Going to get one of the fit in the frame blinds for the kitchen so it doesn’t dangle on the sill

StrawberriesandMango · 19/08/2024 20:20

Fab service from them. I ordered faux Venetian blinds for the whole house and save about £1000 and so easy to put up myself

marmiteloversunite · 19/08/2024 21:27

Anyone used them for wooden French windows?

Worsethingshappenatsea · 19/08/2024 22:19

I've just ordered from them for the 3rd time really pleased with blinds had previously and always have complements on them.
I couldn't remember the name of the ones I had last time as so much choice and I wanted them all to match so emailed them and they were really helpful replied straight away with the details.
I haven't tried the no drill ones but ones I had were really easy to install and they have clear measuring instructions online and you can add measure insurance for £1
I think standard delivery isn't the quickest but you can pay for express delivery.

Feelingstrange2 · 19/08/2024 22:56

We bought a no drill from Blinds 2 Go.

It's great except I echo want a pp said

Measure very accurately. We had to force ours to fit. Sooooo tight. Fitting instructions awful. Great blind tho

Scissorsisters · 20/08/2024 10:35

I found a fitting video for the no-drill blinds on YouTube i think, not an official one but a helpful DIYer

BigSkies2022 · 20/08/2024 14:43

I didn't expect such a lot of responses - thank you very much, and for the tips on measuring/insurance/YouTube assistance. Feel much more perky about the job now! Also good to know about the curtains2go shop as well - am thinking about adding layers as we go on, and budget permits.

Have bought several from them over the years, all really lovely and no problems with customer service.

One blind we measured wrong luckily it was the side window bit of a bay and they offered us 50% off of a new one with right size!

Just about to put in an order for some matching blinds and curtains - going for the Emma Bridgewater Tulips design I think!

RhubarbCircles · 23/08/2024 14:33

Make sure you get the SureSize insurance. Definitely worth it in case you make a tiny mistake measuring.

Been very happy with mine though, did the whole house recently in all different types. One window was extremely tight and took a long time for my father in law to fit, but we got there.

Oliack1417 · 23/08/2024 14:40

Blinds to go are the same company as Hilary's blinds

Normallynumb · 23/08/2024 15:24

Great experience here too
Check and check again your measurements before you order as they have cm, mm etc options and it's so easy to input measurements in the wrong boxes!
There is an option where you pay extra to cover any mistakes and they'll send the correct one( I'm absolutely shit at maths so did this)

Tootyfilou · 24/08/2024 15:20

Another happy customer here. Recently bought blinds for all bedrooms from them and very happy with price and quality.

Bananalanacake · 24/08/2024 15:34

I'm having new windows fitted in October, the guy from the window company suggested blinds2go as the current blinds are fitted to the window frames so will have to be removed.

Thismummyrunstheshow · 24/08/2024 15:57

Joining the pack to say we have 8 blinds in our current home from Blinds 2 Go and prior to this house, 7 at our old house.

Love their blinds!

BobbyBiscuits · 24/08/2024 16:05

I think we needed a drill and it seemed a difficult job. The thing is it's hard for anyone in my house to go up ladders as we are all disabled in various ways. Ideally if we had a handyman to do it that would have been easier. It didn't take a really long time though. But was fiddly and stressful.
I guess I'm a dreadful example being horrendous at DIY. The blinds themselves are fine 5 yrs later and fitted correctly size wise.

mixedpeel · 25/08/2024 20:32

Another very happy customer of Blinds2Go. Haven’t used the no drill ones, but glad of the info as that would suit the kitchen window, so thanks for the thread.

annonymousse · 25/08/2024 20:47

Another happy customer here. We bought the click in blinds for bifold doors. Very quick and easy to fit and masses of colors to choose from. Just measure carefully and double check your measurements

victorfs · 24/12/2024 15:41

ALERT: Misleading Stock Info & Missed Delivery!
I ordered blinds from Blinds2Go, trusting their promise of delivery before Christmas. Instead, I was informed—AFTER ordering—that the Woodgrain Antique Oak Venetian Blind was out of stock, delaying delivery until late January! This crucial information was not disclosed on their website, leaving my new home without blinds during the holiday season.
To make matters worse, the status of my other blind (Twist2Go Turin Blackout) was unclear, with both listed as "Awaiting Stock." Their suggestion to switch products feels like a gamble—how can I trust their stock availability when the original order was so misleading?
This lack of transparency is unacceptable, especially during such a busy season. If you value clear communication and reliable service, AVOID Blinds2Go! Don’t let their poor practices ruin your plans like they did mine.

May09Bump · 24/12/2024 15:44

Not the fit that you are looking at but we bought electric blinds about 6 years ago - blackout and thermal, still look great and work perfectly. Priced well and delivery time reasonable for custom fit.

GreyAreas · 24/12/2024 16:04

Sorry you had trouble @victorfs I have to say, our order was fine and they have been brilliant with customer service when we needed a new pull cord x

Roselilly36 · 24/12/2024 16:19

Ordered roller blinds, Venetian blinds too. Had an issue with the 3 Venetian blinds, which Blinds2go remade. I would buy again and recommend. They ALWAYS have a sale on!

Gosh I'm surprised at the comments - we used them once, had horrific customer service (they sent us the wrong size blinds then said they wouldn't change them as it was 'down to our measurements', even though I'd screenshotted the original screen where we entered the correct measurements to their measuring guide to show my husband).

When they eventually offered us 15% off some new ones we went with it (as they're really cheap and we didn't have many other options at that point, given that we'd spent all the money on blinds that didn't fit) they sent us the wrong colour and point blank refused to swap them, saying they no longer stocked the colour we wanted.

Person I spoke to on the phone implied I was somehow running a made-to-measure blinds scam trying to get some new ones sent out, hahaha! Anyway there's a fair number of people on TrustPilot who had similar experiences, so I would be wary of them - although it's nice to see lots of people on here haven't had the same faff with them!

We always buy the insurance.

We have blinds from them all over our house, they are great and very good quality.
