No, my DM had a Thingsmajig, that was a kitchen tool something like a spatula that could also be used as a slotted spoon or (according to what was inscribed upon it, including its name) whisk.

Hat stand? If you google 'wire hat stand' similar comes up, but not the same.

It looks as if there should be a second item suspended from the loop. Maybe a plant pot/a lamp/mirror or similar.

Most probably! And now I took over and it’s on my desk waiting for a purpose too.
