Please help me decide what sort of rug (including pics of living room)

We will soon be having a fireplace installed between the TV and book case, instead of the kallax unit.

Behind the camera is a dining table, which needs to stay in that position, so the sofas do need to face each other. I don't know whether to have them pushed back, like the second two photos, or closer together like the first pic?
The answer to that will depend on what kind of rug... Do I need a really huge one that goes under the feet of both sofas? I'm a bit clueless when it comes to come decor. Does anyone have any advice please?

Yes, get a big rug , one that goes under your sofas , or at least under the front legs of your sofas.

The sheepskin can go on top of the rug , in front of your new fireplace.

I like sofas facing each other and prefer them closer together.

Advantage is also that you won't need quite such a big rug.
