...without blocking etc. Looking for one with a handle not a button, and close coupled design. Thanks

Toilets aren't rated by the volume they can deal with. When it's just dispatching one load at a time it'll be the same whether one person or 10. However avoiding any design that has a "water saving" feature might help.

Family members should be taught to not use excessive paper, to do a midway flush if there's a lot to deal with, and to do a bowl check after flushing and do an extra flush if it drains slowly.

I did hop on to ask ‘what, all at once?’ but I see someone’s beaten me to it. As you were! 😆

Is that the only toilet for all 6? Is there another in the house? What are the issues with the current/other one? If its blockages, maybe too much paper is being used?
We've recently renovated a completely derelict property so all bathrooms/toilets were new. I went with rimless for ease of cleaning, soft close lid, back to wall again for ease of cleaning the floor and comfort height. Comfort height not be ideal if you have children though. Ours have buttons, but I recall when look that some did have handles or even chains from above- but presumably more for period properties.

Why is the number of people in the family a factor? There's no limit on how many times you can flush si there?

At work we have normal toilets you could have at home and there's no issue with everyone using them

Rimless is good. We have Roca the Gap never let us down flushes with 3.5 litres any amount of produce...😁
