HOW do these influences afford such dramatic renovations? Are there any SM accounts for 'normal' living ?

The only SM I have is Instagram, I follow quite a few Home and Garden type accounts with gorgeous houses and it's nice to live a visceral life through them...but now I'd really like some normal, non aesthetic accounts to look at, can anyone recommend?

I am single parent with 2 sons, 1 of which has additional needs which means I work around him and school. We lived in a private rent for 9 years in a lovely village right next ti the school and open fields, I am still struggling to come to terms with having to leave. I bought a house 10 mins away in a much busier village on a busy main road as that's all I could afford, and quite honestly, I really don't like it.I only want to he here as a means to an end to get my eldest through HS, that's the reason I stayed in the same county. I have put in a new bathroom which had to happen as the previous was leaking. I have added insulation and stripped away the awful wallpaper in the boys rooms and front room and carpeted my the bedrooms. I went into a bit of a frenzy with it. Now, I have run out of steam, time and money, and there is so much that needs done. We have a leaking roof for a start. The garden wall is crumbled. The front door frame is moving, and the laminate flooring is listed and cracked in places. I just don't know how some people do it!

Front door frame moving is a typical sign of subsidence. Has this happened since the survey when you bought? I'd get someone round to take a look sharpish - decoration can be done as and when you have the funds.

It took a good couple of years for me to settle into our last house and feel like I'd put our 'stamp' on it.
