New sofa squeaks and creaks!

After a long time of saving up to replace an ancient sofa i bought a sofology corner sofa that arrived the week before Xmas.

However since day 3 it creaks and squeaks every time you sit down or move about on it.
This sofa cost over £3000.

I called them and they told me it was "normal" and would settle down. But it's driving me crazy! Every time i cross my legs or get up and down on it it's creaking so loudly. Like old creaky floorboards.

Anyone else experienced a new sofa that creaks that has eventually settled down?

Or should I be asking them to come take a look at it?

For reference the sofa is in the living room on a low pile carpet.

Our new sofa started creaking a few months after purchase. I rung the shop (a small family business not one of the big boys) and they came to look the next day and agreed it was incredibly squeaky. (Like you it was driving me crazy). They organised for a furniture repairer to come who pulled the corner apart and there was a gap between where the bottom meets the arms. He said this often happens as it settles. He fixed it all with filler and braces, and put the sofa back as good as new.
I would persist with complaining. Ask them what warrranty there is on the frame. Ours had a 10 year warranty which I wasn't actually aware of when I bought it.
It's not going to get better - only worse.
I'd insist on someone coming to look at it if I were you.

Something might need tightening up. It doesn't sound normal, whatever they'd like you to believe.
