How to arrange furniture in narrow rooms?

Hello, we are considering viewing this house but are a bit unsure about the living spaces as they seem quite narrow.
We thought the study could be either a playroom or TV room/ snug, but not sure what we’d do with the reception room.
The lounge is the most tricky as I’m not sure how you could arrange furniture to make the most of the space. There’s a fireplace next to the patio doors. There’s also a kitchen/diner so don’t necessarily need a dining room.

We lived in something similar and I spent a very long time on Pinterest, but none of their narrow rooms were quite as narrow as mine!

We made it into two ‘rooms’, but found that it was just too narrow. Maybe measure out nine feet in your current house and see what you think.

i'd probably make two different zones of furniture at the two ends of the long narrow room. but it will always feel narrow, unless you start on moving walls around.
