We can't have our blinds inside the recess as our windows are tilt and turn. So they have to be outside. The blind does cover the window (just) but from the doorway looking side on there is a huge gap. They won't be black out at all either due to it. It's one sided material the other side is just grey so can't flip it around to roll other way, we did try.

It's not right is it? Part of me is wondering if I make do because the colour is spot on for what I want, but I don't want to regret it.

I wish I'd asked for an opinion before my husband hung every single blind.

I think I'm going to keep the Roman ones.. they definitely should be wider but they aren't terrible and any wider we'd need to cut to size or go made to order and I don't need the additional expense.
