Ok, so the diagram is crap but it should give you an idea.

It's tiny. The toilet is already in place and backs onto the downstairs cupboard. There'a small sink in the corner with the pipes leading to the back wall behind the toilet.

I can't bear the pipes! They are the white horrid waste ones. And the one under the sink is also plastic. The sink needs replacing too. Toilet is fine.

My question

A. I want to box in the pipes and the sink, but husband says that sittng down on the toilet, with legs open, will be nigh on impossible with a box that juts out

B. I don't want to have one of those vertical pedastals, they are so seventies. What options do I have?

C. I wouldn't mind just having the pipes showing if the pipes are nice - but DH says that you can't get chrome waste pipes?

Anyway, suggestions please!

those pipe covers linked at Wickes are narrow radiator pipes, not wide waste pipes so they might not fit. but you might find others that do.

Saniflo compact - space saving, no cistern.

We have this unit in our tiny downstairs loo. The sink is 20cm by 40cm. You can see the pipes if you open the door but there is plenty of space for stuff in there as well.

Pipes are presumably running close to the floor and not halfway up the wall? If so, a low boxing would work and husband wouldn't need to worry about bumping his knees if the pipes are down by his ankles.

Agree with PP about the vanity unit - much nicer than a standard pedestal and room to keep your loo roll :)
