Its a large hall to decorate.
I have:
- cream travertine marble floors downstairs,
- beige/gold/oatmeal carpet, on stairs and landing
- plus gold curtains that I could replace but do like.
- Bathroom suite is cream and ivory including splashback.
I have NO idea what to paint it. Decorator coming end of October to strip, skim and repaint.
If I could have exactly what I wanted it would be a striking gold toned wallpaper on the drop wall then cream/warm white walls and panelling but white woodwork and archway.
As I'm getting a loft conversion in a years time I can't wallpaper the drop right now.
I have considered both a sage-y green or duck egg-y blue on the drop wall and in my cloakroom with the rest cream and white. Thing is I like neutral. I don't want to be totally dull but too much colour doesn't seem restful and cosy.
Stop me doing it all school house white or timeless or similar bland idea.
I have pics but bit scared to post as identifying.
Please help!
