Whats the best way to put fairy lights on a painted wall?

Ok i know its not December but i love them and they were on sale

But the wall is newly painted and i don't want nails or sellotape anywhere near it...

Has anyone found a solution?

Small command hooks? They can be removed as well.

Actually they have very mixed reviews....
