(Tap once on the banner pic to get a page of photos, then click on one to step through them if you wish. It doesn't react well to enlarging pics, though.)

It's not even my taste, but everything feels so right, somehow.

Nobody eclectic would have matching red dining chairs and kitchen bin

Ihavekids · 27/02/2023 20:29

I'm pretty sure even my shit furniture would look better in that gorgeous house than what they've got in there... not eclectic, it's tasteless

merryhouse · 27/02/2023 20:34

I'm not sure OP knows what eclectic means.

I think the thing in the kitchen is a pasta machine.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 27/02/2023 23:39

Suit yourselves. I found this house charming: calm, elegant & intriguing. I'm one EuroMillions ticket away from buying it & begging (& paying) the owners to leave their furniture behind.

I prefer this one.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 27/02/2023 23:50

You're gonna have to give us a bit more help with that, Advent.😁

OP posts:
ifIwerenotanandroid · 27/02/2023 23:51

Oh it's a link.😁

AdventFridgeOfShame · 27/02/2023 23:53

😂

ifIwerenotanandroid · 27/02/2023 23:55

I'd have those windows & that woodland any day.😍

The villa in the film Call Me By Your Name is eclectic. This is just stuffy and lonely.
Non mi piace.

AdventFridgeOfShame · 28/02/2023 00:01

And a castle, you get a castle in the garden 😁

ifIwerenotanandroid · 28/02/2023 00:04

I know & it's lovely, but I've been looking at castles you can live in & now I want one of those (as well as a villa by an Italian lake). But I wish you well in your Irish mansion.

You're going to be busy castleist.com/all-castles-for-sale

Just how big is the Euro Million jackpot that you have not won yet?

I prefer this one.

Ooo that’s really rather nice!

the op looks too new and trying to be ‘old money’ and failing. Eclectic? No!

ifIwerenotanandroid · 28/02/2023 01:08

Ooh, thank you! Haven't seen that site before.

Jackpots can be over £100 million. DH has chosen his castle. I chose a villa near Florence built in the 1400s but it turned out to be impractical with my dodgy knees.😂Too many stairs, & steep climbs in the countryside. So, so beautiful, though.

You need something with a lift, it certainly lifted my eyebrows.

The Florence villa has a nice vibe, or the photos were taken on a day with wonder light.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 28/02/2023 01:17

Well, my OP looks as if it has a lift...

Your OP is so restrained

Doesn't it? Italian light, I guess, not the dingy British sort.☔

I've just noticed that I seem to expect my fantasy house to have 180+ acres of garden. For the dog of course.

LOL.

I've seen that one before. It's quite astonishing, isn't it? Far too posh/modern for me.

Well, he/she needs a bit of a run.

I'm worried that our chosen castle has eagles or something in some pictures of it: would they be able to swoop down & fly away with a tubby tabby in their talons? These things keep me awake at night.

OP posts:
AdventFridgeOfShame · 28/02/2023 01:31

I think you can put off worrying about that until you have exchanged on the castle.
