Having to do lots of repairs ourselves after bathroom renovations

We are currently just at the end of having all 3 of our bathrooms renovated. The first and main bathroom looks lovely, the down stairs loo is okay and our en-suite although the work looks great there's loads of finishes that we have been told we need to do ourselves. He's moved boxing in for the shower so now there's a gap between the ceiling and wall, same has happened with a sink in the downstairs toilet, there's cement all over the skirting boards, also the skirting boards no longer meet the shower so it's just cut to a straight line with no finish. We got new spot lights put in all bathrooms and hes left the old lighting still in the ceilings so we will need to cut it out and plaster board the ceiling. He's moved a plug socket in a bedroom and we need to re plaster that hole as well. Just thought the bathrooms would all be complete and we would just have to touch up a bit of paint. But seems like we have so much work to do after he's gone and I have my second baby due in 7 weeks, so wasn't expecting to have to do all this repair work heavily pregnant with a one year old running round! Is this normal for getting bathrooms done or is he just rushing the last bathroom to get to his next job which starts on Monday?

What does his quote say? Does it include finishing off and making good? When we had our bathroom fitted we had plumbers who actually fitted the suite, but then another person who blocked in pipes and did tiling and sealing.

It's just one guy doing everything, we paid for him to replaster the walls. And as he did that he's moved the boxing in and it's left us with a hole in our ceiling...

Have you paid him? Ask him to come back and put things right. He's not allowed enough time for the work by the sound of things. But what exactly did you agree with him and did he provide a quote that set out what he would do?
