Orange

I'd go for deep crimsons and plum tones. You can add a twist by going for a bright candle or something to tie it all together.

Yes white woodwork but not bright white / bog standard, I'd go for a 'classier' (🙄) softer shade.

Pink

Cotswoldmama · 13/07/2022 21:32

Pale pink is the obvious choice. Gold would also work or even turquoise

BoJoGoGo · 13/07/2022 21:47

I was thinking fuschia.

Superdoopas · 13/07/2022 21:56

Thanks all.
My taste is quite retro and or dramatic.
We have a 1950 house.
Any recomendations of where to buy. .. we live rurally with no shops . ( exept a next half hour away and a b and q) and they are quite limited/ small ranges .thanks!

I think rust/burnt orange

DogsAndGin · 13/07/2022 22:18

Gold

declutteringmymind · 13/07/2022 22:20

Go for orange for a retro look. Or even a mustard I reckon.

Skinterior · 13/07/2022 22:26

Gold / mustard

Pink,

Depending on whether the green is a blue green or red green duck egg blue

Giggorata · 13/07/2022 22:30

I'd have scarlet.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 13/07/2022 22:32

Dusky pink. Gold where there's anything metal (eg a show pineapple)

sevenandtheraggedtiger · 13/07/2022 22:34

I have mustard, ochres and gold in mine and love it. Gives it some lightness as it's a dark room.

Silverfinch · 13/07/2022 22:51

OK now you've said you like retro I take back light pink. It does go beautifully with olive green but it's a very contemporary combination, it's everywhere right now.

Google mid century palette. I would pick a couple of colours as an accent, maybe mustard and burnt orange.

Etsy is my favourite go to for home accessories, there's so many interesting things on there.

Superdoopas · 14/07/2022 14:13

By accent do you mean another wall , skirting, or accessories ? Ive mostly had white walls n art work prior to this .

A soft pink or vintage gold (veering towards mustard). I might be biased as I have olive green sofas and this is my approach! :)

MeatballMeatball · 14/07/2022 14:35

dunelm is good for mail order and stuff. And M&S have got good coloured cushions in at the moment. I'd go for plums/teals/slightly burnt orange.

Superdoopas · 14/07/2022 20:25

Thanks !

I'd suggest minimising gold, we tried it in our green room and it made decorating the rest so difficult. I'm thinking of trying off white, black, and maybe some pinky red next time.

StinkyKid · 14/07/2022 20:33

Orange

AbsoluteShambles · 14/07/2022 21:45

Just to clarify - vintage gold upholstery is not gold.

Also - just found these on one of my Pinterest boards which might give you some colour combo inspo.
