What to do with 3 rolls of orla keily stunnung wallpape

On a whim I bought 3 rolls of orla keily wallpaper.
I live in 1950 s house .
I have enough for either one wall, paper to both alcoves ( tv to one side, woodburner in middle) or in both alcoves and above woodburner too.
I want a strong mid century look .
Unsure which to go for? The pattern is a strong geometric

I'm not sure if you mean:
One wall + 2 alcoves or One wall which has two alcoves
or
Two alcoves or Two alcoves and the bit between them

If you do a search on 'Orla kiely feature wall' you'll get some ideas. I'd do the alcoves, I think, but that's based on what I imagine your room to be like

I complete plain flat wall( behind sofa )

Either side of the woodburner in the alcoves either side of the fireplace wall

Behind the sofa. It's an incredibly busy pattern to put on a wall that is the most looked at in the room.

Complete flat wall.
Both alcoves may look a bit too matchy- matchy. A bit too 'done' iyswim.

Take a photo of the wall paper and print it out on a couple of sheets of a4 paper. Blu tak them to the various walls and see what you like the most?

Plus that geo pattern looks better on a larger surface space.

Behind the sofa

Behind the sofa. It would hurt my eyes on a wall I look straight at.

It's not to my taste at all, I'd sell it, but I'm not you.

If you love it either put it on the wall behind the sofa to have an inviting-looking 'IG style' wall, or if you want to look at it, but it on the wall you'll be looking at.

Bear in mind, you'll need to match the pattern. You could start by doing the alcoves and seeing if you could take it.

Orla k has it in her house on one wall. We have vintage 1950 furnture. What is an ig wall?

Flat wall is best I think as it would be a bit busy to have behind tv screen with moving images.

Why not the side wall? So you can see it when on the sofa. Ok you won't use it all but may look best?

What wall is opposite the wood burner?

The wall opposite woodburner is like the one to the left of burner( pic above) but longer wall.
The wall in photo has the door in it.

I think opposite the wood burner could be better than behind the sofa. Not the wood burner wall though.

The wall opposite the woodburner has a sofa too like the one to the left ot the burner.it looks the same .. just longer.
I love the pattern . . But is it too much! Ive never had a statement wall before.
As i have a boring , square box , 50s house i am trying to be brave.

Am trying to .. 😀 have lost confidence that its fab ( and will i go off it)!

The worst that will happen is that you really don't like it, you give it a year and you still hate it you redecorate- it's only one wall!
