Paint Colour for Kitchen Extension

Help! I have a week to choose a Dulux paint colour for my new kitchen/dining/family room extension on the back of my 30's semi. I don't know where to start. My kitchen will be a Howden's Dove Grey kitchen, having white quartz worktops and absolutely no idea what colour to paint the walls.

I can't add a picture yet as it's being plastered at the moment and the space is looking very dark. I have a north facing garden and the extension is in the shady part of the garden.

Looking at some kind of off-white/warm white, I definitely don't want pure brilliant white as it'll feel cold I think and be easily ruined by small children.

Has anyone recently painted a large kitchen extension space and can share colours?

Bumping as I’m likely to have the same dilemma very soon!

We have a 1930s semi too and will have a similar dilemma with a north-facing kitchen. We used Dulux Timeless in the back bedroom on the same side of the house and that has worked well in that it’s off-white but not Magnolia, if that makes sense?

When we do ours, I will steer clear of Farrow and Ball - we have the standard estate emulsion in our bedroom which still looks great, but the modern emulsion in our living room looks pretty chipped. Definitely not compatible with blu-tak, Christmas decorations or general family life, in my experience.

Does it have to be dulux? You can choose any colour you like and have it mixed in a paint such as Johnstones. My brother works at a builders merchants and says all the professions decorators use Johnstones covaplus (we have as well but all farrow and ball colours mixed in Johnstones).

We have a similar extension and ended up using timeless after trying samples of 8 different whites.
