Can anyone recommend anything they've used recently? Don't want anything too yellowing or too sagey or too olivey or too minty. Just want something soft an fresh. Thanks.

Apple white!

SwedishEdith · 23/04/2022 18:30

Is that not just white with a hint of green? Thanks but I definitely want it to look green.

It's definitely green in my house, perhaps depends on how large or bright your room is, and other furnishings. I have dark green sofas. Dulux light and space Nordic Spa is a bit more green.

Thanks for more suggestions to try. It's so hard. You think you know what you mean in your head but then it looks so different on the wall. From the shade card and name, I'd have thought this might be the one but it looks quite vibrant on the wall in the picture. www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/2032-50/early-spring-green

That one looks more like the inside of a mint Aero than a fresh spring green.

SwedishEdith · 24/04/2022 16:22

Ha, yes, I think it would in real life. Anyway, got 3 more testers today and, as expected, I think it'll be none of them and one of the testers I already had. A Valspar match of this one www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/429/garland-green Looks grey-green on the screen but not on the wall.

We’re mid-paint at the moment but Neptune French Grey has a nice fresh understated green, per the pic.

Another vote for Dulux Willow Tree

SwedishEdith · 26/04/2022 18:41

Thanks. Have never heard of Neptune. That looks nice but not quite what I'm looking for this time. I have tried a Willow Tree tester and I like it but it's taken 3 coats to really see much colour. Feels like there's not a lot of pigment in it. Maybe I could see if Valspar could colour match and see what their tester looks like?

Brewers Albany range, tea tree. Lovely fresh bright appley gree

Spanglybangles · 09/05/2022 21:56

F&B Mizzle or Cromarty are lovely soft greens I think.

leli · 10/05/2022 06:44

Farrow and Ball Breakfast Room green is a lovely soft but true green. I think it is 1930s in feel. I have it in light but north facing rooms on a bank of floor to ceiling cupboards.

Wickes Chinoise

sunniest · 10/05/2022 20:44

Crown Mellow Sage is a nice green that doesn't lean to far into grey or yellow tones.

SomersetONeil · 10/05/2022 20:53

We have Resene Spring Rain in our hallway - it might be a little too sage-y for your requirements, but as you know, what you get in the pot rarely translates 100% onto any given wall.

It looks fresh on our wall, but our hallway runs down the middle of the house, so gets lots of bulb light, as opposed to natural light.

Cervinia · 10/05/2022 21:00

We have rip-off F&B Mizzle, mixed at the decorator centre in Dulux, it’s gorgeous but absolutely sage green. Looks nothing on the walls like the sample.

TheLadyDIdGood · 10/05/2022 21:06

Which direction is your house as it depends on the natural light in the room.

Try lick blue 03. It's called blue but comes up a light fresh green in my house.

SwedishEdith · 11/05/2022 19:26

Thanks for more suggestions. I got one more tester on Sunday, a Valspar match to a Benjamin Moore one - Cucumber salad. I've decided it's the one as could go on forever looking. It's an east facing room, currently in a Borrowed Light copy.

My daughter painted her room in Palm and it's seriously beautiful in every light. I would never have chosen to paint anything green but now I'm totally in love with this colour
