Hello, i am in the process of renovating my kitchen and i previously had an electric ceramic hob, i'm thinking of getting an induction hob but wondered if anyone could provide their experience of cooking indian food (mainly chapatis and fried foods) as i've been told induction is no good for this kind of cooking.
Thanks

I have one and use a tefal induction frying pan for cooking chappatis on, it works fine. I use heavier bottom pans for curries and have found this to be great.
Its really a case of getting used to the heat settings that can take a while and then it's nice and easy.

DH successfully makes chapattis on our induction hob.

We have an induction hob in our kitchen. My DH is Indian and I cook chapati rotis etc daily. I have to say I much prefer our old gas cooker. can't seem to get the induction hob hot enough for chapatis! Also if you make dosa it's difficult to get a dosa tawa for induction cooker.
