Help me make these wardrobes look better

I live in a rented house, so am very limited in what I can change.

Over and around my bed I have built in wardrobes, similar to in the photo but white and old fashioned. I'd like to find a way to hide them, I thought of using voiles or fairy lights hanging down, unsure how I'd attach them though, but was thinking Command hooks.

Any thoughts?

While I'm at it, in the bathroom there are textured flowery tiles as a border, does anyone know of anything that will disguise them? Painting them is not an option, it would have to be something easily removed when I move out.

TIA

You can get pressure fit shower curtain rails which would be ok if you were only hanging light voiles on it.

Op I think you misread the Etsy ones are 3.19 for 900. Not a single tile 😂

Can you buy nice fabric that you can cut to size for each of the cupboard doors and using command strips to attach the fabric to the doors.

If you don’t like to sew ask about fabric that doesn’t fray or other ways to prevent the cut edges from fraying.

If the handles are attached to the cupboard doors with screws then you can remove them (keep them safe to reattach when moving out) and replace them with more modern handles. Bring one of the original handles so that you can match the screw holes with the new ones.

If the handles glued on then you can’t remove them but you could wind a yarn (in a matching colour to the fabric) around them.

Or use blutac or command strips to cover the doors with thick, sturdy decorative paper or wallpaper.

The mosaic tile strips should work in the bathroom, and its easy to take off a plug.
So the only thing is the wardrobes - which don’t look too bad. I’d go to ikea and get some fake trailing plants and put a few of those and battery fairy light on top of the units then choose really nice bedding that picks up on the nature/greenery look.

@gulliblestravels Ooh I like the trailing plants and nature theme. I can picture that. It would look lovely and peaceful.

I'd be BEGGING my landlady to let me paint the wardrobe units white!

Those tiles are wonderful! Please don't damage them! 🙂

Sorry, the photo wasn't the actual wardrobe, just to illustrate style. I've attached photo of actual wardrobe. I couldn't cover the doors with fabric really, as there are drawers built in too, and they have inset decoration.

I don't think I'd find one long enough, as it would be the entire width of the bedroom to cover them all.

I'll take your word for it, I've reread the listing and still can't see that, but I am full of cold so maybe I'm just being stupid.

The wardrobes go up to the ceiling so I can't put anything on top of them, my fault for not including a photo of the actual wardrobe originally, sorry.

Look at the "Item details" section , the words are clearer as to the number of tiles. So for £3.19 you get a sheet of 900 tiles. The whole sheet measures 30cm x 30cm. Each tile is 1cm x 1 cm in size and there are 900 of them.

Sorry, thanks. I’ve been full of cold and couldn’t think at all.
